First Spring salmon of the 2024 season
I am delighted to report that the first Spring salmon of the 2024 season has been caught from Darnaway on the River Findhorn.
It was an absolutely cracking fresh multi sea winter fish of around 15 lbs or so and just off the last high tide!
The big deep fish was caught and released from the Lower Home beat at Darnaway, Leadendricht pool on Monday February 26th, 2024.
Hopefully, this is just the first fish of the main Spring run arriving on the River Findhorn in Moray. We are looking forward to seeing and catching more of these fabulous Spring salmon through the upcoming months from March through April/May.
Please do contact me: [email protected] for further information on availability and costs through the forthcoming 2024 season.
We still have limited Spring salmon fishing availability on Altyre Estate and The Meads of St. John at Darnaway, River Findhorn. We also have some availability on the Upper Home Beat at Darnaway through late May onwards and into early August.
Tight Lines, Ian Neale.
